Special Ang Pows!

I came up with the idea to DIY ang pows to be inserted in our invitation cards so hopefully our dear relatives and frens will make use of it instead buying gifts for us.. very often, gifts are for display and of no practical use.. We accept cash, NTUC or shopping vouchers! haha..

Materials needed to make the ang pows: pink construction papers, forever friends rubber stamp, golden ink pad, pen knife and glue.. glad that the ang pows turn out nice.. forever friends are jus so cute!

While waiting for the ink to dry.. B's room was filled with ang pows.. haha.. extra ang pows can be kept for future use when our frens are getting married.. hopefully soon!

this year is the 1st time i had reunion dinner at B's place.. food there is always better than at my place, haha.. went to my place to hav 2nd round of steamboat den realised the prawns, fish and fishballs all shrank.. haha.. tink jurong market better lah.. not my mum's fault!!! it's oso my 1st time meeting B's godparents.. his godpa is a bus driver, tink he got drive bus no 51 cos i found his face familiar.. shall take note of the 51 bus driver from now on, haha..

there are so many '1st time' this CNY.. 1st time we be dealer for blackjack at ah ma's house.. won abit onli, maybe 10 bucks?? haha.. quite exciting ar.. 1st time B played mahjong wif mi too.. nv seen him touch mahjong tiles before previously, onli watched him play online mahjong games.. we played wif my sis and kel at my place.. now i noe the reason y B dun play 'real' mahjong.. hahaha.. he cannot multi-task one, either forget take his tiles when is his turn or forget take when got flowers/animals.. poor kel, instructed by sis to 'look after' B cos his turn is after B.. so funny lar.. we shd play more to let B practise.. tink tat mahjong session veri stressful for B.. dunno he dropped how much hair...haha!

Oh ya, received our photo album last fri too.. the delivery man forgot our poster so sat morning came agn.. veri pleased with the pics! now everything put back into the box and sealed wif masking tape le.. cannot show ppl until 101010 if not B scold mi agn!

Hollywood Dino @ Jurong Bird Park

Sis bought Hollywood Dino tickets for us and brought jia rong along too! on the way there in car, he keep playing bejeweled blitz using kel's iphone.. quite pro wor! haha.. anyway, tis pic is taken by one of the bird park staff FOC.. if wan carry bird on hand den mus pay money.. some so noisy and look so fierce!

Hollywood Dino is bo liao one.. took us less than an hour to complete the whole trail.. tink jia rong oso found it boring cos he didn't seem to be excited abt it throughout.. onli the moving bridge he likes, haha..

The best attraction is these penguins.. even jia rong 'WAH' when he saw so many penguins.. so funny..

the 2 kor kors wif the flamingos and 'king'.. mus carry bag for him, ask him thirsty anot, hungry anot, wan go toilet anot, buy him ice cream, let him play bejeweled, wait for him beside the playground... haha..

This tree he dunno climb how many times liao.. haha..

Corsages & Boutonnieres

Very bored at work so took this opportunity to update my blog.. when i change job maybe not so free liao.. made these corsages and boutonnieres some time ago but have yet to post them here.. will give to our helpers as a token of appreciation and force them to wear on our wedding day, haha.. of course, i will wear one of the wrist corsages and make B put on one of the boutonnieres as well.. :D

For our female helpers.. dun tink will use up all the wrist corsages ba..

The one in the centre is reserved for B cos the pink and clear crystals with silver ribbon matches my crystal bouquet.. hehe..

Maybe can get our fathers to put on these 2.. haha..

The rest are for our helpers, dunno who they are yet.. haha..

*Bear Bear*

Forever Friends bear bear are so cute! The big bear is the 1st gift from B, smaller one is my bday present or x'mas ar? oops :P hehe.. the bear with red hood looks like jay chou hor.. haha.. To prevent the bears from getting 'blacker', i've wrapped them in big plastic bags, kept away from my hugs.. tink mus bring the naked bear for dry cleaning soon.. i've washed the jay chou hood before so the small bear easier to maintain.. tot of sewing a shirt for the big bear.. maybe next yr when i have more time ba..

This couple bears are bought for our wedding of course.. bought from ebay.. tink it's a super old edition, can't be found in singapore.. i like the groom bear more.. bride bear looks muscular to mi.. haha.. it has a veil behind which can cover the head, tink will be more feminine if cover the head with veil ba.. haha.. these 2 bear bear will definitely be displayed on 10.10.10!

These 2 bear bear i oso dunno y i go buy.. from ebay too.. hand itchy lar.. haha.. but veri ke ai hor.. realised the older version of forever friends their eyes are horizontal slits kind.. the ones B bought are the later versions, their eyes are dot form.. prefer the new ones cos beady eyes cuter and look more innocent.. we saw precious moments at city link selling the limited edition of white forever friends bear previously but now no more already.. white one really nice but tink veri fast will become black.. haha.. more forever friends items on the way!

Welcome to 2010!

I used to feel that 2010 seems so faraway.. there's still lots of time.. but without realising it, we are already 5 days into 2010.. think time is gg to pass more quickly cos i got a lot of things to do.. teambuidling and D&D at work, 2 chalets coming up, CNY preparation, shopping for proper clothes for teaching, ROM preparation and house renovation.. there's gg to be great changes this year.. career, marriage, new home, new life totally! OMG! still find it unbelievable.. definitely looking forward to all these events..

Shall continue to update progress for our ROM preparation.. Completed 2 pieces of cross stitch work.. really got a sense of achievement leh.. no such feelings at work.. keke.. *Satisfied*

Tis design looks simple but not easy to count the small squares in between the words and mus make it fit into the photo frame i bought.. not veri fantastic but got personal touch, can't find it elsewhere!




This 2nd piece took mi quite some time to complete... so many colors, need to keep changing threads.. send it for framing.. the uncle is a Taiwanese and we had a gd chat tat time.. his workmanship is great and price is reasonable.. with and without frame really makes a big difference.. i was like 'wow!' when i saw it with the frame.. i'm loving cross stitching more!

Hope there is enough space to display them! will stop making funny things to put at reception table, too cramped! :P

Our Second Taiwan Trip!

This is a mainly photo-taking trip so not much shopping done.. We had fun playing with B's tripod though heavy to bring out but it's worth it! but veri cold while waiting for him to set up and focus.. haha.. some of the pics dunno y focus is on the background so our faces blur blur de :( wasted.. tink camera too cold, can't tahan liao.. haha..

Our 1st phototaking stop is in front of The Regent Hotel.. the X'mas deco outside is really beautiful.. the flowers on the cages are real! colors so nice and romantic.. so dreamy.. lucky we passed by there..

Lover's Bridge is quite bo liao and ulu.... tink the time we spent there is less than the bus ride! haha.. cos it's really too cold there.. but we were well-trained to smile and take pics in cold weather.. haha!

Went to Wulai too.. it's a nice place for phototaking! the mini railway train ride is quite fun and there is oso a veri steep cable car that brings u to the top (show student pass got discounted price, lucky i brought!).. and it's cold up there.. basically, that few days when we were there, it was their coldest winter ever..

Finally got the chance to go to Miramar Ferris Wheel.. Tat time watched 换换爱 always show this place, hoped tat can go there one day and it came true! so unbelievable! same as the experience at Lover's Bridge.. we were there less than the time we spent on bus.. we were opposite the shuttle bus station taking pics then when the bus arrives, we jus grabbed our bags, camera and tripod to catch the bus.. super efficient! cos can't tahan the cold already, keke..
