it's exactly 10 mths to our ROM date.. usually 3-4 mths before den start looking for JP but 10.10.10 is such a hot date so gotta be more kiasu.. i intend to start looking for one after our taiwan trip de..

i got to know this gal from the singaporebrides forum who is oso holding her ROM at Furama Riverfront but in another function room.. hers is lunch, ours hi-tea.. so we tot of inviting the same JP as it would be more convenient.. ytd, tis gal went to email a JP and he actually agreed although the date is 10 mths away.. so she gave mi his contacts and ask mi email him oso which i did and he agreed..

A small intro to our JP, Mr Chia Ti Yu.. did some research on him and found out tat he had a close brush with death 12 yrs back.. tat time he was supposed to go indonesia for a job assignment but bcos he had some buddhist voluntary responsiblities, he did not go indonesia.. on the day he was supposed to fly back, the plane actually crashed into a river, causing all 104 passengers on board to die.. he felt lucky to be living so after the incident, he gave his time to more voluntary works, one of them is to solemnise marriages for couples..

Mr Chia is very prompt in his reply.. emailed him last night and he called mi tis morning to confirm everything.. oso sent an email with different vows and guidelines to file our marriage online.. he's really a nice guy.. glad tat he agreed to solemnise our marriage.. looking forward to meeting him to sign the consent form!

Our Wedding Bands

We've collected our wedding bands on my birthday.. Went orchard with my sis and mama in the afternoon while waiting for B to finish his last paper.. i remember tat day rained heavily and there was floods in many places.. haha.. Mama and sis went to collect our wedding bands together and sis took photos while we were trying on the rings.. Thank u!

B luffing at mi?? tink cos i turned the ring the other way round to try but realised they r the same no matter which direction.. diu lian!

Difficult to take close up shots cos too bling le.. haha.. my cam not so powerful too...

Finally, tied to my ring bearer bowl!! Had problem making the rings 'stand' like when tying to the pillow.. will try harder next year.. haha.. tot of bringing them to taiwan for photoshoot but better not in case we lose them.. so let them grow dust for another 10mths and 14 days..

I love Nov!

Got my birthday present le! haha.. from B of course.. It's a limited edition digital photo frame with Swarovski elements.. bling bling.. haha.. haven upload photos to test it yet.. saw on display in Sony shop tat it can actually be set on slideshow mode to view the pics.. so maybe we can upload our pics and use it for our ROM next yr.. after tat can treat as a calendar or clock for our new house.. so useful ar.. haha.. trying to convince myself tat the money is well spent..

My Glass Slipper

Finally bought my wedding heels le!! Bought it last weekend when B wanted to go Suntec eat Boon Tong Kee chicken rice.. at 1st, B bought a pair of shoes for soccer at big big discount i still say we keep spending money... den we walked past this shop 'alegra' and this pair of bling bling shoes in the display window caught my attention immediately.. B oso say nice so went in to try.. It's so classy and costs 69.90 which is a reasonable price so bought it.. den B's turn to say mi spend money.. haha..

Even the shoe box oso so nice.. The paper bag has the same design too.. got abit of retro feel hor.. haha..

Sis says the diamonte too big le.. but bigger means more bling mah.. from the pics can't tell tat it's veri bling but they are really sparkling.. The heels are 3 inches tall.. Lucky B still taller than mi after wearing it.. Tink i mus practise walking 'normally' on the heels so tat won't look like a penguin or fall (choy!) on the big day.. can imagine the 2 of us tall tall standing in the middle to take pics with our 'short' realatives and friends.. haha..

My Wedding Accessories

I chanced upon Crystal Dollies, a local online accessories store, when I was searching for make up artist for my ROM.. Finally, I decided to engage Jade Yamada, a Japanese lady who is based in Singapore.. One of her customers, Kelly, is the owner of Crystal Dollies.. The accessories are all delicately handmade by Kelly.. She uses Swarovski crystals in her accessories which is wat i'm looking for.. Most importantly, i love her work!

Initially, i emailed her to ask abt Jade's service and also her wedding accessories.. She complimented Jade and recommended this earring to mi.. if i like it den she can customise the necklace and bracelet for mi as well.. this design is so sweet! so i got her to customise the whole set for mi..

As she has run out of the flower parts and most of the materials used are imported from Japan, i waited 4 mths before meeting her for collection.. The accessories are all nicely and neatly packed in a box..

Although i did not ask for a ring, she went ahead to design one for mi and if i like den buy.. i was attracted to the design and quickly slipped it on my finger to try.. so bought it in the end.. but tink won't wear for my ROM, got wedding band enough le.. hehe.. My sis and B find the design wierd.. Oh, Kelly said she designed something like tis for Fan Wen Qing to wear to Fann Wong's wedding wor.. Hers is more kua zhang type..






I was abit disappointed with the bracelet initially.. When she was helping mi to put on to check the length, i told her i dun like the silver flower metal piece below.. She said it is to match the small metal flower on the earrings and her Japan supplier couldn't find her the small metal flower parts anymore.. When i got home, i put it on and stand in front of the mirror.. somehow, it looked nicer in the mirror.. felt better abt it.. but my sis came back and said that it is not nice :( tot of using my own leftover crystals to re-design myself but since B said it looks fine so jus leave it ba..





Last but not least, the most exp item... Kelly helped mi put on and shortened the length on the spot as it was too long for mi.. As she was cutting and measuring the chain length, i jus couldn't take my eyes of it.. the design is simple yet elegant.. love the sparkling Swarovski teardrop crystals! can bring them to taiwan for photoshoot lo.. yeah..

Kelly even offered to modify the accessories after the wedding to make them more casual for free.. wat a great service! she is warm and approachable.. strongly recommended! view her masterpieces at http://www.crystaldollies.com/

Taiwan Part II

We last went to taiwan in May 2008 and we are going back tis Dec! woohoo! It'll be different tis time round cos we are going to have our wedding photoshoot there.. Original plan was to go next May but tot of going tis Dec to experience the winter season, hope it won't rain and not too cold.. i'm freezing in office man, wonder if i can tahan the winter there..

As we've bargained for air tickets and hotel stay in our package, Romantic Life booked Jetstar tickets for us. Last time we took SIA cos got promotion, now downgrade to Jetstar.. since it's sponsored so nvm.. haha.. but tink they can earn back the air tickets and hotel money back easily cos i forsee we'll top up alot more for the additional pics.. $$$!!!

It's easier to plan the itinerary tis time round cos we've been to most of the places in Taipei.. So jus visit those that we left out the other time like Miramar Ferris Wheel and Lover's Bridge at Dan Shui (mus go take same pic as ms and choon wei! haha..) got one day maybe travel to hua lien to visit Taroko National Park.. B told me abt Taroko National Park during our last trip so hopefully we can go take nice pics of the scenery.. pls dun rain!! can dun rain during our stay there??

Shop Shop Shop!

We went shopping last sat.. mainly is to buy B's stuff cos he dun hav nice clothes for tis sat wedding dinner.. 3 Oct veri auspicious date, alot ppl getting married! anyway, back to our shopping...

This is the 1st item we bought.. before paying, the salesman let us check the shoes.. i noticed a tiny black spot at the side of one shoe and showed the salesman.. den he started cleaning it.. while cleaning, he still promote the cleaning lotion and wax he using.. i told B if he can get rid of the black spot den we buy lo.. after 5-10 mins, he still can't get rid of the black spot.. in fact, he made it worse! tink he asked the supervisor den came back to us say giv us 10% discount.. it's a new arrival so by right there's no discount de.. as i've redeemed pedro $20 vouchers from HSBC rewards programme, i asked if we can use it together with the discount cos it's stated on the voucher cannot be used if already got discount.. den the sales team discuss discuss den say ok so we bought in the end.. actually the long pants shd be able to cover it and at the side not so obvious..

After buying the white leather shoes at Citilink, we went to Marina Square but nv buy anything.. Went back to JP continue shopping.. B bought the above 2 tops.. at 1st he onli wanted to buy the casual top.. while he's trying it, i saw this long sleeve shirt quite nice so ask him go try agn.. but he din stop there.. cos the shop having promotion, if spend $150 will get a free leather belt so the salesgirl asked us to get jus one more item to get the belt.. so she kept taking pants and shorts for B to try.. tink tat is the 1st time B kept going in and out of the fitting room ba.. haha.. we spent so long in tat shop until we were getting tired and gave up.. so jus bought the 2 tops which we decided at the veri beginning.. waste of our time man!

Next, we went to G2000.. UOB card got 15% off! tis long sleeved shirt is the onli thing i bought.. mus prepare for interview de so no choice hav to buy..

G2000 oso having promotion.. mus spend $120 to become their member.. so B got another long sleeved shirt and grey pants there.. we got the membership! met ms and ah xiong there too.. ms is like G2000 salesgirl, keep telling us the different designs of the pants.. haha..

Lastly, went to goldlion to buy tis belt. End of our shopping day! Spent so much this mth.. B become pok gai ong liao!
