Wall tiles and floor tiles finally rectified, holes filled up, sharp edges filed.. left the bedroom lock haven change.. dunno mus wait till when..

All wrapped nicely to prevent dust and dirt from the reno works..

Initially, we tot is some wierd greenish stuff that jam up the toilet bowl cos it cannot be flushed away.. so went to the office to complain den the lady told us is actually a ball to prevent mosquito from breeding there.. i still ask it will be forever there?? den the hdb contractor who was also there told us to take out ourselves using spoon or something.. we so suaku lo, nv see before..

Our Love Nest

if only the unit number is #08-312.. haha, i'm dreaming.. actually, jus need to climb the stairs, no need wait for lift anymore.. tat's quite convenient.. one way to console myself.. haha.. anyway, the main gate and door are nice!

The 1st thing we saw when we 1st opened the door.. a dead cockroach! B cleared the body before i stepped in.. haha.. so decided on housewarming gifts liao.. all guests are to bring any form of poison or insectiside which they think is the most effective.. all these will definitely cum in handy!


Papa and mama say mus place this when we 1st open door.. den mus use the hammer to knock knock on the ground and shout "huat ar!".. haha.. after that mus throw uncooked rice and tea leaves around the whole place..

One of the toilets.. we were surprised that the toilets look quite nice and modern.. can save some money on renovation.. haha.. Papa checking the basin, pipes and tiles.. some tiles were badly done, either uneven or with sharp edges.. mus complain!

Our bomb shelter.. will do shoe cabinets at both sides and a feature wall to cover everything.. hopefully can save some space and turn out nice..

Packing is such a tiring task! Oh no.. there's so many things to bring to the hotel.. Really need to thank those helping out.. it's gg to be heavy!

06.10.10 - Collection of Marriage Cert

The temporary venue for the ROM is at such a lok cock place.. haha.. disappointed.. Everything seems so rush when collecting our marriage cert.. take queue no, wait abt 5mins for our no, proceed to a counter, pass our documents to the officer, check the cert, sign a form, read the declarations, sign again, congrats and bye bye.. less than 15mins everything done.. even the officer oso talked so fast.. y mus it be so rush?? seems so meaningless.. jus one funny part.. when the officer ask B to raise his right hand for the declarations, he tot wan his thumbprint den he jus point out his thumb.. haha.. the officer den raise his own right hand to demo to him.. hahaha..

Random Updates

Collected our gown and suit from Double Up Bridal last Fri.. Shall not post any pics.. haha.. actually is cos lazy to take out and take pics.. dun wanna dirty or crumple the gown and suit.. Nothing fanciful, jus a normal gown and suit for a simple ceremony on a lazy sunday that marks a new beginning for the both of us...

Will be collecting keys for our new flat on 11 Oct, yes! the very next day of our ROM! The original appointment was on 8 Oct but we dun hav our marriage cert yet so changed to 11 Oct instead.. That piece of paper is really impt!

Went to The Furniture Mall to pay the balance amount for our bed den shun bian look for Don to inform him when we collecting our keys.. Arranged for him to go take measurements and after tat would be the start of renovation! He's also helping us check wif the boss of the shop that we bought our sofa from if still can change the color.. Chose black initially but now like white more, hope the boss will agree to change..

Last week, I had an arguement with Furama Riverfront.. So tired of all these unhappiness during the preparation stage.. Previously, it was the MUA issue and now, even the hotel giving me problem.. I requested to check in to the room at 11am which is 1 hr earlier than the check in time they specified.. The coordinator keep telling me to call on the actual day morning to see if there's any room available to let us check in earlier.. so i asked her if we can start decorating the lounge at 11plus and start abit of my makeup there while waiting for the room and she said no prob.. last week, she dropped me an email saying that there is another event at the lounge until 12pm so we can only use the place after 12pm.. so i replied asking if there's another place for me to start makeup and she gave me the guest service number to call on the actual day see can check in earlier anot or asked me to do makeup at home first.. i was like WTH.. book hotel is to make it convenient cos there's room for us to makeup and change before our event and ask photographer and guests to go there directly mah.. if on the actual day den call and ask, how can be so last min to demand the MUA and photographer to appear in front of us rite..

Called the guest service staff to ask them abt the room availability on 10 Oct.. the guy said there r rooms available as of now but he dunno wat's gg to happen in the next 2 wks so cannot confirm wif mi yet.. i was so angry and told him since there r rooms available now, y can't jus reserve a room for us to check in at 11am on that day.. he said ours is a complimentary one night stay, is treated as a walk-in case, mus see the occupancy rate on that day 1st.. he even hinted that we can pay for one more night for 9 oct if we really want to check in at 11am den he can book the room for us.. how ridiculous! i told him i wouldn't hav booked the lounge if i knew there's no room for us! den he finally said ok, like gave up on me if not he cannot tahan start scolding me.. haha.. so tat's how i got the room at 11am..

asked another bride-to-be who is using another function room in Furama Riverfront for her ROM what time she is checking in on that day.. hers is a lunch reception starting at 11am.. at first her coodinator told her check in time is 9am but she requested to check in earlier at 8am and the coordinator agreed.. tat's it.. no need to argue and she got the room an hr earlier! her coordinator is a different person, so lucky for her... our event starts at 1pm and i requested to check in at 11am oso cannot, so unfair!

New Pen Holder

Went to Bras Basah Complex ytd to look for poster stand but found other treasures instead.. B bought his hi-fi magazines and i bought a pen holder.. there's a shop selling all sorts of wedding items like pen holders, guest signature books, ang pow box, ring pillows, bird cages to hold ang pows or rings, wedding invites, tea pot set, etc.. most of the items are handmade and can be customised..

Ordered the design that i liked and the lady made it on the spot.. we went walk walk den collected it after abt 20mins.. efficient!

Initially, I wanted to tie the rings to the ribbon but tot it would be troublesome and messy to untie the ribbon for rings exchange.. also, it is veri difficult to tie the rings such that both can stand nicely for photo-taking.. haha.. so, decided to just place both the rings by the side.. simple and nice..
