Visit to Furama Riverfront Again!

Met the hotel coordinator to confirm some details like program of the day, check-in time, wedding favors, colour of table cloth, arrangement of reception table, buffet table, music and food menu.. so many small details to see to, can't imagine if we are going to have a wedding banquet which is bigger in scale.. still need to plan sitting arrangement for guests.. how tiring! many thanks to our parents for respecting our decision and not insisting on having a banquet though i know they want it badly..
Although I prefer not to throw a banquet, I'm still looking forward to attending my friends' wedding dinner as I don't have to plan or worry about it.. haha.. would be more glad to help them out as I understand it can be quite stressful to plan for the most important event in our lives.. gd luck to all!

Nice clear blue sky and coconut trees in front makes the hotel look like a beach resort.. Weather very hot today!

Entrance of Furama Riverfront

Waterfall Lounge.. so bright and sunny! tink the pics taken during our solemnisation won't be nice cos it's too bright, our faces will be dark dark and cannot see the waterfall outside.. it all depends on the skill of our photographer, mus hav confidence in him!!

Wedding Tea Set

Will be having a mini tea ceremony at the hotel so bought a brand new tea set.. Wanted to use the tea set that my parents used for their wedding 27 years ago (hope to be happily married like them, hehe..) but 2 cups were broken when we moved house.. so gotta buy a new set..

Bought this cute tea set from a fellow forumer at $20.. reasonable price?? not sure.. haha.. just like it so bought it.. plus the seller deliver all the way to my block, gd service!

My mama suggested to tie a ribbon on the small cup handle, so creative of her! haha.. even my papa says it's cute and nice.. will pass to my sis for her wedding next time, save money!

Signature Pens for Guests

Bought these metallic gel ink pens from Popular.. With Popular card, there's 10% discount ~woohoo~ Popular card can oso be used at KFC which entitles us to $1 off 2 pcs chicken meal with free drink upgrade to iced nescafe.. haha.. mus make full use of the member card!

Wrapped the body of the pens with silver ribbon.. used wire to string the pink crystals together and bend it into a heart shape at the top.. still seemed a bit empty so tied a light pink ribbon to the pen.. the ribbon is used to cover the ugly part of the wire as well.. haha.. My mama gave me the idea to curl the ribbon to give it a more volume look.. maggie mee ribbon!

~Close up view~

Will try to sell these pens away after our ROM, hopefully can get some money back.. Tinking to rent my bouquet to make money as well, cannot bear to sell it away but still wan to earn some pocket money at the same time.. haha.. Many other items waiting for buyers too......

Forever Friends Coasters

Forever Friends are just too cute.. can't resist the temptation so bought this pack of coasters for our new home.. haha.. it's really not easy to start a new home cos every little item costs money.. but it's fun shopping for our new home!

Robinsons Expo Sale!

We went to expo agn! last week there were Harvey Norman and Metro sales and tis week it's the Robinsons sale.. not attracted to the Metro sales last week, prob cos we spent alot at Harvey Norman so need to be cautious wif every penny tat we have.. Somehow we prefer Robinsons to Metro, BHG or Isetan.. cos B has OCBC Robinsons card so can enjoy extra discount even during sales period.. haha.. Bought 2 sets of jean perry bedsheet cover and quilt for our new home.. and some items here and there.. to our horror, the bill adds up to be 500+!! but with the OCBC Robinsons card after discount, the bill became 400+, saved 40 bucks!! the shopping list for our new home seems to be never ending so the holes in our pockets is widening.... gg to hunt for kitchen sink and tap next week..
*need to start training for stand chart marathon soon!! busy busy!!*

Harvey Norman Again!

Went to Harvey Norman Expo sale over the National Day weekend.. the washing machine tat we bought last week was $30 cheaper at the expo sale, grrr... lucky the refrigerator was selling at the same price and did not indicate free camera.. haha, so we got a better deal! Bought our TV and oven at expo.. burned a big hole in our pockets.. mus scrimp and save more, we can do it! for the sake of our dream house.. went to eat Texas chicken after our shopping.. the onion rings, fries and chicken were veri nice! hope they will open another branch at JP soon.. haha..

Btw, we have oso confirmed on our contractor.. preferred the 2nd contractor tat we met at the wardrobe showroom.. met up wif him twice for further discussion and have paid deposit already.. going to meet him soon to get invoice and to view the 3D drawings tat he designed for our new home.. so excited!

initially was worried tat the contractor will cheat our money or run away wif our deposit.. felt more at ease after gg to temple wif mama and praying to ah ma and ah gong.. ~they assured me everything will be smooth sailing~
